Synopsis
Let the Dragon Out is a film diary of a middle-aged Westerner who is facing the reality of the Chinese culture when landing in Hong-Kong for a new job.
While experiencing and discovering a new way of life, questions come up about the existential necessity of midlife changes, past and future, cultural differences, loneliness, close friendships, and where new technologies will lead us.
The answer to lot of philosophical questions may come from a simple pleasure like entering in a Dragon boat team, trying to win the Gold Cup in Stanley Bay.
A personal, autobiographical journey with lot of self-irony, sometimes poetic, sometimes dealing with more philosophical and universal questions about the meaning of life.
