Ivanovo region is the native land of an outstanding Russian film director Andrei Tarkovsky. In order to continue and develop the traditions of this great film director, the philosopher, and the artist the Government of Ivanovo region has founded an annual International film festival “Zerkalo” named after Andrei Tarkovsky in 2007.
